Champneys inspires a healthy lifestyle programme

 

Our Philosophy

Champneys believes that food should provide great pleasure, but also that its role in good health and wellbeing is paramount. Food is needed to nourish, fuel, strengthen and build the body. It is also a great source of preventative and therapeutic medicine.

 

With this in mind our menus are based on the following principles:

  • Eat more vegetables and fruit
  • Eat moderate amounts of protein
  • Eat less refined sugars and saturated or hydrogenated fats
  • Prefer cooking methods like steaming, grilling and dry-frying
  • Avoid packaged and processed food where possible
  • Eat fresh foods
  • Reduce stimulants and toxins
  • Eat organic produce where possible

 

Our Policy

Champneys menus are planned to maximise delicious, healthy food choices. Local fresh ingredients are used from naturally farmed sources where possible. Preparation and cooking methods are chosen to maximise health and controlled portion sizes aim to encourage moderation.
