Nutritionist - Melissa Cohen
After having enjoyed a successful career in financial services and raising two children, Melissa began to question her own lifestyle and started to research nutrition. After completing a Nutritional Therapy Bsc (Hons) degree and qualifying as a Neuro Linguist Programming (NLP) Practitioner, Melissa understands the impact of how food, lifestyle and genetics interacts within the body. Melissa believes eating nutritious delicious foods and exercising is a lifestyle choice rather than a “diet”.
More importantly, using Nutritional Therapy, Melissa acknowledges that each person is unique and has their own biochemistry. Additionally, she is able to explain in an easy to understand manner of how certain foods and lifestyle may impact on certain states of personal discomfort. This may include gut disorders, weight management issues, eating disorders, detoxification, allergies/intolerances, fatigue and mental illness. Melissa now runs her own private practice and weekly weight management groups as well as providing nutritional therapy consultations at Champneys Tring.
What to expect from a Nutritional Therapy consultation?
All consultations are strictly private and confidential. After taking a health check questionnaire, a personalised diet plan is suggested which may include supplements. On occasions, a blood, stool or saliva test may be suggested to enable a more precise bespoke nutritional therapy plan.
